Chamber Metal Project wants to build up a bridge between classical and metal music through the versatility and the timber variety for which piano has always stood out. As Liszt and other romantic pianists did at their time, “translating” symphonies and operas from orchestral to pianistic language, Chamber Metal Project tries to translate metal masterpieces from metal bands (seen as well as orchestras) to piano solo or piano and electric guitar (chamber music). Metal music is now in a moment of great expansion, thanks to the evolution both of the electric instruments and the improvement of musicians’ technique, who already got often inspired by the great composers from the past and then created their own musical language. Today metal music is a field of great experimentation, and piano once again proposes itself as a conjunction ring between apparently different worlds, but which actually have so much to share.
